Which may, in fact, beat WHiteout to theaters...
Whiteout, btw, has been moved back to 9/25 now, from what I've heard.

From etonline:
ET breaks the news that "Moonlight" actor Alex O'Loughlin has been cast to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films' feature 'The Back-Up Plan.'
The romantic comedy features Lopez as Zoe -- a woman who embarks on a journey to motherhood using artificial insemination, only to meet a possible Mr. Right named Stan (O'Loughlin) on the day of her insemination.
The couple begins dating, with Zoe confusing their early relationship by hiding her pregnancy. After she reveals her secret, Stan unexpectedly sticks by her side. But as the birth approaches, the pressures of their new relationship and her impending motherhood could split them apart.
'The Back-Up Plan,' is the first feature from CBS Films and will be directed by "Six Feet Under"'s Alan Poul. The movie is set to begin filming in Los Angeles in May and will premiere in theaters in January 2010.
You can also catch O'Loughlin in upcoming films 'Whiteout' and 'August Rush.'

Yes, Stan is a little old-fashioned. It's my grandfather's name, for Pete's sake.Ah well, if they'd left it up to us, his name would likely have ended up Mr. Sexyman.

Okay...this is creepy! My grandfather is EXACTLY 85 years old!!!wpgrace wrote:Kelly wrote:wpgrace wrote:You have made my spring Siren... my entire spring.SirenSong wrote:Sounds like a done deal!!![]()

Hmmm, is your grandfather around 85 years old? Cause Alex plays 85 very well...

Ok... ew. I was just being sarcastic... sorry...Kelly wrote:Okay...this is creepy! My grandfather is EXACTLY 85 years old!!!wpgrace wrote:Kelly wrote:wpgrace wrote:You have made my spring Siren... my entire spring.SirenSong wrote:Sounds like a done deal!!![]()

When I had sirensong make up my banner, I left all the artwork in her capable hands. The only think I knew I wanted was a statement that would say that 2009 was Alex's year. "The One to Watch" was my only contribution to the banner. And yes, it does seem to be very prophetic, which is exactly what I was hoping and praying for when the idea struck! Thank you, Juli, for making the banner come to life!darlingcat wrote:So, we start with CM in April and then move on to a TR in the fall followed by Whiteout in September and this movie in January. Wow! An Alex overdose.
He is surely "The One to Watch" this year

It is kind of sad in a way. My family refers to him as 'Joanie's little vampire'Kelly wrote:SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! What wonderful news for Alex!!! From the ET article, it definitely sounds like a done deal!
Kel~
P.S. While I'm absolutely ecstatic about this me, I can't help but feel a tad sad as well. A film like this could really boost his exposure...and, I don't know, it seems like every new fan he gets will take him just a wee bit further from being "our Alex." However, from what I've seen of Alex, he seems like he will always have a special place for his original fans...that would be us.And that says something very special about him.

Wow...yes he is! He doesn't look a day over 75. Creepy, huh?redwinter101 wrote:Is he unusually youthful, Kelly?

Does this mean we have super-duper prophetic powers, Suz??VAsusieQ18 wrote:When I had sirensong make up my banner, I left all the artwork in her capable hands. At this rate, Back-up Plan will end up being released before Whiteout.SirenSong wrote:Whiteout, btw, has been moved back to 9/25 now, from what I've heard.

Let's just say that, although it doesn't carry quite the heft of J Lo's, the fleur derriere is impressive in it's own right. So, I will be more than able to "back up" Alex!!!nayp wrote:Marc or Alex, Alex or Marc, Fleur you better have a "back-up plan" on this.
